Kingsport Board of Education Postpones November Meeting

KINGSPORT, Tenn. –  The Kingsport Board of Education has postponed its November regular monthly meeting, originally scheduled for Tuesday, November 16, 2021. The meeting will now take place on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 immediately following the already scheduled 6 p.m. work session.

The meeting will be postponed due to a Community Showcase by the Dobyns-Bennett High School Marching Band on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. located at J. Fred Johnson Stadium. The Dobyns-Bennett Marching Band was named the Bands of America (BOA) Class AAA National Champions at the BOA Grand National Championships on Saturday, November 13, 2021. This Community Showcase will be the last time the D-B Marching Band will perform their show, "The Promise of Living." 

All Board of Education meetings are open to the public and take place in the KCS Administrative Support Center (400 Clinchfield Street, third floor, Tennessee Room), Kingsport.
