D-B EXCEL High School Student Named a National Youth Safety Essay Scholarship Winner

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Rylee Adams, D-B EXCEL senior, has been named a winner of the National Youth Safety Essay Scholarship. Adams was one of only four students awarded nationally.
 
CareerSafe, an OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) authorized online safety training provider, sponsors the National Youth Safety Essay Scholarship Contest. The essay provides students the opportunity to tell their safety story by sharing how OSHA training has impacted the way they view and recognize hazards and how they think the knowledge they've gained will benefit their future.
 
"Rylee's achievement in winning the CareerSafe 2023-2024 National Youth Safety Essay Scholarship is a shining example of her dedication and passion for making a positive impact," said Shanna Hensley, D-B EXCEL Principal. "Her essay reflects the values we strive to instill at D-B EXCEL, creativity, responsibility, and a commitment to excellence. We are incredibly proud of Rylee and celebrate this well-deserved national recognition."
