REGISTRATION ELIGIBILITY

D-B EXCEL is a STEM-designated program of choice that specializes in blended and project-based learning. 
 
Please note that your child must be a: 
  • Rising 9-12th grader
  • Current Kingsport City School students OR have the intentions of enrolling in Kingsport City Schools upon acceptance to D-B EXCEL
    • Tuition Students
    • Homeschooled Students
 

NEW STUDENTS to KCS

New students are those who have never attended Kingsport City Schools or those who have moved away and did not complete the prior school year with us. Homeschooled students and tuition students are eligible to apply.

Students that do not currently attend KCS will register at Dobyns-Bennett (main campus). If interested in applying to D-B EXCEL, they will fill out the application at the main campus when they are completing the KCS registration process. These applicants are required to attend an Open House or schedule a tour at DBE so the student/parent can learn more about our program. Please call 378-2185 to schedule a tour.
