Kingsport City Schools official statement from Dr. Jeff Moorhouse, Kingsport City Schools Superintendent:
"We cannot state more strongly the profound level of respect, admiration, and appreciation we have for the educators of Kingsport City Schools and all public educators in Tennessee. These women and men have dedicated their lives to providing each and every child the educational opportunities that will ensure lifelong success. They have trained extensively to become highly skilled in delivering innovative instructional practices and supporting student growth, working diligently to continually improve their craft. Educators who have answered the call to serve the students and families of Kingsport and those all across Tennessee make an immeasurable positive impact on our children and communities and deserve our utmost support and respect.
