School Closure
As of 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2020: In alignment with direction and the recommendation
from Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, the closure of Bristol City Schools, Kingsport City Schools,
and Sullivan County Schools has been extended through the end of the 2019-20 school year.
This includes all extra-curricular and athletic activities during this period of time.
TN Ready Testing
ACT Testing
11th Graders: Just so you know, due to our school closure, the ACT testing for 11th grade students scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2020 has been cancelled. The state is currently working with ACT to review the possibility of an alternate testing date. Additional information will be communicated to you once a final decision has been made.
The safety of students and test center staff is ACT’s top priority. ACT has rescheduled its April 4 national test date to June 13 across the U.S. in response to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). All students registered for the April 4 test date will receive an email from ACT in the next few days informing them of the postponement and instructions for free rescheduling to June 13 or a future national test date. Graduation & Senior Orders
Jostens will be distributing graduation and senior product orders on Thursday, April 16, from 10 am-12pm outside the main entrance of Dobyns-Bennett (main campus). Any unpaid balance will be due at the time of pickup.

It is with disappointment, but full understanding given our current circumstances, that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Dobyns-Bennett Prom, originally scheduled for April 25, 2020. In accordance with CDC guidance limiting public gatherings over the next eight weeks, Meadowview Conference Resort and Convention Center has cancelled all events during this time.
